Welcome to the murky, beer-filled depths of the defiantly
unconventional Hunters Bog Trotters.
H.B.T. was founded in
August 1980 by four rather idealistic recent graduates from Edinburgh University (Bill Blair, Ian Orton,
Robin Thomas and Conrad White), all of whom are still members today. The
club was formed with the declared aim of combating elitism - so it was
decided that a tasteful 'Bog Brown' vest was suitably non-elitist.
Today the club continues to be active from its Edinburgh base and welcomes new members
of any standard.
Training every Thirstday (Thurs 7pm) – East End of the Meadows,
then to pub (Blue Blazer)
